The department is currently working on an EMS response plan which would have us respond to most ems calls in both townships with a Squad type of vehicle to begin providing basic care until the arrival of an ambulance or paramedic unit.

As part of the partnership between Kidde Fire Safety and WNEP-TV we received 27 smoke alarms to distribute threw the operation save a life program which Schuylkill county participates in. Any resident living in either township is eligible for a free smoke alarm(s).

Twenty students representing five departments are attending fundamentals of firefighting and strategy & tactics today which we sponsored. Courses being ran threw bucks county and instructed by Robert Ward.

The NWVFC Responded to 135 calls for Service in 2016 with an in service time of 175 Hours. Of that we provided Automatic/Mutual Aid 46 Times and received Mutual/Automatic Aid 7 times.

on December 24th the NWVFC escorted Santa around the coverage for about 4 1/2 hours. Santa made contact with 175 Children this year which is a record!. We would like to thank everyone for there support in this project and hope to see you all in a year!!

Tanker 585 has been sold to the New Hudson Fire & Rescue from Black Creek New York. T585 left for its new Home on Sunday. T585 served the area well for approx 17 years!

This only affects the Residents of North Union Twp. Those living in Black Creek Twp aren't affected. Those that aren't affected we just ask that you use proper judgement if you need to burn. Being its a county wide ban it will be enforced by LAW ENFORCEMENT.

Today the Chief and Deputy traveled to Lake Ariel to complete the paper work and bring the new Tanker 585 home. The new tanker should serve the area for many years to come!. We would like to thank the Lake Ariel Fire Department for selling us the vehicle.

We are pleased to announce that we put down a deposit on a 2008 International/Midwest Tanker from the Lake Ariel Fire Department in Wayne County. The New tanker will have a 500GPM and 3500 Gallon Tank. This will be replacing the current T585, which will be going up for sale in the near future.
